1996-97 Topps Finest Reprints Refractor John Stockton #43 Star BGS 7.5 Pop 4

In 1996-97 Topps did a series of cards that were reprints of rookies from various high profile players, with refractors as well! Many of these rookies are from the Star Co era of the 80s, including this beautiful John Stockton specimen. These cards are super rare.

The John Stockton refractor has only been graded 4 times by BGS and 4 times by PSA. None of them has ever been graded GEM by either company.

Graded a BGS 7.5, this has subs of 9.5, 9, 9, and 6.5 for the surface. The surface is lower because there is a clear vertical line near the center of the card at the top (most visible in the third picture).

To be clear, this is not a crease, but some sort of a defect in the finish of the card. It still looks great IMO, and the other subs more than make up for it.
